Under his Shadow Child and Dave Spoon pseudonyms, Simon Bird has put out an immense catalogue of official remixes for artists as varied as Hot Natured, Calvin Harris, DJ Haus, The 1975, Future Sound of London, Hot Since 82, Disclosure and Mary J Blige, to name just a few. In this course, Simon shares the skill set he’s used for these famous remixes and shows you his step-by-step process for taking a song and giving it your own signature spin. He’ll show you how you can take these tips and tricks and use them to revive and reuse those forgotten old projects on your hard drive. You’ll also learn his creative approach that’s kept him at the top of the game for so long as well as his tips for getting out there to network and find opportunities to remix.

Shadow Child’s signature style has made his sets remain some of the most individual and positively unpredictable, building an insatiably large fan base in the process. He also shares a Wednesday slot with Mall Grab on Rinse FM, and has graced the airwaves there for almost 9 years. His label Food Music is a mainstay in House too. Aside from supporting both upcoming artists and the established, an acclaimed reworks project has seen him pull together official remasters & brand-new remixes of defining classic tracks.
