How to run a label with Critical Music & Sam Binga

About the live session

In the first of our regular Industry live sessions, we've invited Badger aka Adam Woolf, label manager at Critical Music, the renowned Drum & bass label to the SmartStudio™. During this 90 minute interactive session, Badger will share his insights on how to run a label and offer attendees one-to-one advice, with all attendees having the opportunity to submit their demos to Badger for feedback after the session.

  • This session is all about improving your brand and USP, A&R responsibilities, sharpening your mission statement and getting your tunes release-ready.
  • The Critical crew will also talk about PR campaigns and getting your music to the right audience with marketing and promo, social media advertising and digital distribution, showing some examples from how the label has successfully released their music to fans.
  • Throughout the session there will opportunities to ask Adam your own specific questions. We’ll also be joined by Sam Binga throughout the session, who will talk about how he, as an artist, gets involved with artwork and physical releases.

This session is only £5 and is limited to 32 interactive seats in the SmartStudio™.

Note: to join the virtual classroom, you will need access to a laptop or iPad, working microphone/webcam and be using Chrome or Safari browser.
