Plastician
Grime and Dubstep wouldn't be the same without the immense musical output of Plastician. Starting out producing music as a way of gaining the recognition needed to further his DJ-ing career, the Croydon native worked alongside producers such as Skream, Benga and Artwork in the early 2000s. He held the longest-running radio show on Rinse FM as well as being the world’s first DJ to have a specialist Dubstep and Grime radio show on national radio. It was with the 2008 release of his debut LP 'Beg To Differ' on his Terrorhythm Recordings label that Plastician first achieved widespread critical acclaim with an album still regarded as one of Grime's best. It proved to be an apt name too, for a man always looking to do things differently and challenge the expectations of genres. Always one to keep things fresh, he’s still working with some of the most exciting new rappers from around the UK.
